Missions helps spread the gospel globally and locally. Hope supports ministries and missionaries in the following foreign countries: Austria, France, Guatemala, India, Japan, and South Sudan.
HOW TO PRAY FOR MISSIONARIES
All missionaries desire to be in the center of God's will for their lives, to carry out an effective ministry, to love and relate well to people from their adopted culture, to care for family and fellow missionaries, and to remain healthy--both physically and emotionally.
What a big order! How can you pray for them? Begin with their relationship with God, and opportunities for personal growth and inspiration. Then pray for their relationship with the nationals, developing language skills, cultural understanding, and compassion, love and concern for them. Pray for good working relationships and comman goals. Pray for open doors for witnessing, and responsive hearers.
For some, lonliness can be a problem. Pray for friendships and time for relaxation and renewal. Pray for their families, for healthy marriages and good parenting skills. Schooling for children is sometimes a concern. Ask God for safety when faced with political instability, and protection from diesease.
Pray for the reassurance that can only come from knowing that God has His hand over all and they are called and sent by Him and the church. Let them know that you are praying.
Our Sunday School mission project is through Children International. We support two children from rural Guatemala, Hilda Maricela, 9 years old, and Yacson Roaldo, 10 years old. We need to raise $44.00 per month ($22.00 each) through our childlren's offerings.
